I grew up in Nevada County, CA and received my paralegal certificate from Chico State in 1986. After working with a few local family law attorneys, on January 30, 1994, I opened SOS (formerly Savelly's Office Services) in a renovated gas station in downtown Nevada City. My business included a small stationary store, and a free self-help law library full of Nolo Press books, with a space to hang out. Before the Public Law Center and Domestic Violence Coalition were created, this SOS venue was a hopping place!
I now focus primarily on title documents, the genesis of my attraction to the paralegal profession, after learning foreclosures at a local title company in the early 1970’s. I am blessed with friends and family, and I am continuously full of gratitude to have remained in this beautiful community..

Consumer notice: Since 2000, "independent" paralegals do not exist. A paralegal must now work only for attorneys, they may not work for consumers unless they are registered and bonded Legal Document Assistants, in the county of their primary business.
