SERVICES

• SOS will prepare the title related document(s) listed on the questionnaire page, at your direction, which you provide when you complete and submit a questionnaire. Document preparation prices are listed under fees/costs where you will also find recording fees, etc. as recording services are included unless otherwise instructed by you. 

Please review the CALDA Brochure located on the questionnaire page, for information regarding the documents and their purpose, before selecting the type of document you would like SOS to prepare.  All document preparation includes forms required in each county including Preliminary Change of Ownership Reports and Claim for Reassessment Exclusion forms.

• Please email or call SOS and inquire what county/state you would like to record in and we will confirm our certification in that county.  We are certified in most CA counties.

• The cost of e-recording is $55 for the first recorded document and $35 for each recorded document thereafter, so long as it pertains to the same property. After recording, SOS will mail the original documents to the address shown on the upper left hand corner of the first page of each document.

• Please check with your county recorder for margin and formatting requirements, and make sure your documents are legible, including the notary stamp. Please include all supporting document (PCORS, Claims for Reassessment, Tax Affidavits, cover sheets, etc.) as required. If the document is rejected, SOS will notify you. Our goal is to help you get your document(s) recorded.
